Some seniors arrive at their photo session with a big vision in mind. Others, like this kind and hardworking young man, show up simply because it matters to their family.

When we met for his senior portraits, he was polite and easygoing, never once letting on that photos weren’t exactly his favorite thing. In fact, I never would have known had his mom not shared it with me afterward. During the shoot, he gave me genuine smiles, trusted me with the poses, and carried himself with the quiet confidence of someone grounded in who he is.

Growing up on a small ranch, it only made sense that he’d bring his cowboy hat along for a few of the images. And let me tell you — he looked both sophisticated and handsome, the kind of timeless style that will look just as good on the walls of his family’s home in ten years as it does today.

The session itself was simple. We just focused on capturing him just as he is: steady, respectful, and kind-hearted.

Senior sessions are an obvious necessity for the yearbook, but also for the proud parents as they’ll have images to look back on before a new chapter begins. Congratulations, Arliss on all you’ve achieved and all that’s ahead. I see you walking into your future with quiet strength.
